Job Overview
As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting service users with their daily needs, ensuring they can live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.
You will work under the guidance of the care manager to deliver personal, practical, and social care in line with professional standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Duties
Assist with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, and grooming
Support with mobility and safe positioning
Assist with toileting and continence care
Help with eating, drinking, and nutritional needs
Support with medication (as per care plan)
Support & Daily Living
Prepare meals and assist with feeding
Carry out household tasks (cleaning, laundry, ironing)
Support with shopping and errands
Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
Provide companionship and emotional support
Monitoring & Communication
Observe and report changes in service users’ health or wellbeing
Maintain accurate care records and documentation
Work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals
Participate in care reviews and team meetings

Promote dignity, independence, and respect at all times
Maintain confidentiality of service user information
Follow all company policies (health & safety, safeguarding, medication)
Report any incidents, concerns, or complaints promptly
Participate in ongoing training and development
Requirements
Essential
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Caring, compassionate, and respectful attitude
Desirable
Previous experience in care or support work
Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to train)
Training in manual handling or safeguarding
