Good questions to bring.
You can ask these at an initial conversation or a care review.
Book a free consultationWho will support me, and how will we get to know each other?
Ask about introductions, the skills needed for your support, your preferred way of communicating and how changes of care worker would be discussed.
How will my routine and choices shape the care plan?
Bring the things that matter to you: daily routines, culture, language, interests and what you would like to do for yourself. My Day, My Care can help you prepare.
What happens if my needs or a visit change?
Ask who to contact, how care-plan reviews work and what arrangements would apply to late, missed or changed visits. Confirm the contacts and arrangements for your own care before it starts.
What will I receive before I agree to care?
Ask for the proposed support, care plan, quotation, service agreement and complaints procedure in a format you can use. Our costs and funding guide gives you questions to check.
