Companionship in Enfield
Companionship creates space for conversation, familiar interests and the everyday activities you enjoy. Angels Caring Care can discuss visits at home and appropriate support getting out, based on your wishes and an assessment of your needs.
Support shaped around everyday life.
You do not need to stop enjoying company simply because it has become harder to see people or get out independently. A companionship visit can be about sharing a cup of tea, reading together or having someone alongside you for an agreed local activity. The focus is on what matters to you, rather than filling the time with a set programme.
Families sometimes enquire when relatives live alone, friends are less able to visit or a loved one would appreciate company between family visits. You can also ask about companionship as part of a wider care enquiry. Tell us what a good visit would look like, and we can discuss the support Angels may be able to provide.

Who may find this helpful?
Every person is different. Our team will confirm whether we can meet the identified needs and explain current availability.
An adult living alone who would welcome more regular company.
Someone whose usual social routine has changed after a bereavement or a move.
A person who would like support to take part in a familiar interest.
A family exploring visits for a relative when they cannot always be nearby.
- 01
Start with your interests
Tell us how you like to spend your time, the people you want to stay connected with and anything you prefer to avoid. Quiet company can matter just as much as a busy outing. The visit should feel appropriate to you.
- 02
Plan practical arrangements
For activities away from home, we need to discuss mobility, the destination, travel arrangements, accessibility and any additional costs. Transport or driving is not automatically included. Availability and the support needed are confirmed before an outing is agreed.
- 03
Discuss changes as they arise
Interests and circumstances can change. Speak with the team if you want to try a different activity, adjust the visit or discuss additional care needs. Companionship arrangements should be reviewed if practical or personal care support becomes necessary.

Book a free consultationDo companionship visits have to involve going out?
No. You can enquire about company at home, such as a conversation, reading or sharing an activity. Let us know what you enjoy and any communication needs, so the team can discuss a suitable arrangement.
Can someone accompany me to an appointment?
This can be discussed during your enquiry. The team must first consider the location, timing, travel and the help required. Any arrangements, transport and extra costs need to be agreed in advance.
Can companionship include personal care?
Personal care is a separate service that may be considered within a combined care plan. Please mention washing, dressing, toileting or other support needs at the outset, so they can be assessed and included only where appropriate.
Can I arrange a visit for a family member?
You can begin the enquiry, but the person’s wishes should guide the discussion. Where possible, involve them in choosing the activities and support. The team can explain the assessment and consent arrangements before visits are confirmed.
